10 week course

Fridays 1pm to 4pm (with option to continue use of the studio until 6pm)

This course will cover all aspects of Oil Painting such as drawing, composition and brushwork but special attention is given to colour. You will learn to observe and mix colours accurately. You will become aware of how colours work together, both in the world around you and on your canvas.

Your journey into colour will become a personal exploration, applying your findings to your own subject matter. Stealing ideas from the masters and from your fellow students will further expand your ability to organise your colour compositions.

This is an ALL-ABILITIES class. Whether you’re a successful professional or an absolute novice, you will find the course both challenging and inspirational.

Artists will be working with their own materials. Easels will be provided for those who don’t have their own.
