Description

My first job after graduation was as Artist in Residence at King Edward VII and Queen Mary School (now AKS) in Lytham. It was a fabulous year and little did I know we would end up living with a view of the school out of our window.

This piece, of the now demolished Canteen, was painted that year. The dinner lady very graciously posed for me and the staff member tucking into lunch reminds me of great lunchtime conversations with the teachers.
